Senator David Perdue On Third Annual Department Of Defense Audit

U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, comments on the Department of Defense's third consecutive audit:

"It's critical that we ensure taxpayer dollars spent on our Department of Defense are used as effectively as possible," said Senator David Perdue. "These audits continue to help the Pentagon improve its business operations and identify ways to enhance our overall national security. I commend the DOD's focus on making improvements every year and their commitment to supporting our servicemembers at home and abroad."

Senator Perdue has championed a Department of Defense audit for years, advocating for better results for the warfighter and more efficiencies and transparency for the taxpayer. This year marks the third ever completed audit of the DOD. Final results of the DOD annual audit are expected next month.
